Shinhwa’s new album dominates both Korea and Japan charts
Shinhwa’s new album rose to the top of the charts in both Korea and Japan.
The group’s management agency, Shinhwa Company revealed that Shinhwa’s 11th album ‘The Classic’ which was released on May 21, recently topped on the Hanteo Real-time and Daily Sales Charts, and Japan’s Tower Records charts.
Shinhwa Company stated, “We heard that it is a quite rare case for an imported album to top in sales chart in Japan. We want to thank the local fans for their support towards Shinhwa’s 11th album. We will do our best for the concert in Japan this July.” Continue reading

KARA’s Seungyeon to make her first appearance in ‘Jang Ok Jung’
KARA’s Han Seungyeon will finally be making an appearance on SBS’s Monday-Tuesday historical drama, ‘Jang Ok Jung’.
According to an official, Seungyeon will make her first appearance at the end of the 16th episode of the drama which will air next week on May 28th, and continue to take part in following episodes.
Seungyeon will take up the role of Kim Tae Hee’s rival and royal concubine Choi. She will be joining forces with Queen In Hyun (Hong Soo Hyun) to put Jang Ok Jung (Kim Tae Hee) in danger. Continue reading
MBLAQ to show PG-18 skit on ‘SNL Korea’
MBLAQ will be appearing in the upcoming episode of tvN’s ‘SNL Korea’ (Saturday Night Live Korea) that will air on June 1 at 11:00 PM KST.
According to an official of the show, MBLAQ confirmed its participation for ‘SNL Korea’, where they are expected to show hilarious and rated PG-18 skits. With their upcoming comeback, MBLAQ’s appearance on the show is being greeted with great anticipation.
Meanwhile, MBLAQ will return after approximately a year and a half with their 5th mini album titled ‘SEXY BEAT’ on June 4th. The mini album will include six tracks which enlisted the help of talented artists like Primary, Zion T, Maybee and more. Continue reading
Gong Hyo Jin expresses her love for Girls’ Generation’s YoonA
Actress Gong Hyo Jin expressed her friendly love toward Girls’ Generation’s member YoonA.
Gong Hyo Jin recently participated in a pictorial for the June edition of fashion magazine, @star1. In the accompanying interview, the actress showed her love toward YoonA from Girls’ Generation. She said, “I recognize her as an actress, not an idol group member”.
When she was asked how she got to know YoonA, Gong Hyo Jin told that actress Son Ye Jin introduced her to YoonA, and added, “She is a really cute girl.”
Gong Hyo Jin who is known to be friendly with most of the co-actors, also revealed, “I might look like I know a lot of people, but there are certain people that I’m particularly close with.”

RaNia’s Di got hit by a motorcyclist
RaNia’s Di has been involved in an accident.
On May 24, RaNia’s management agency revealed, “Di got hit by a motorcyclist while getting off from a taxi near her agency headquarters in Seoul. She was transported to hospital right away, and revealed to have suffered minor injuries to her knees and head.”
A representative added, “X-ray result showed that there are no bone fractures. However, she is still feeling a bit of dizziness, and she will have to stay in hospital for one or two more days.”
Due to her injuries, Di could not participate in schedules for May 23rd and 24th. She said, “I’m sorry for causing a trouble. I will try to recover as soon as possible.” Continue reading
