On April 21, actress and former AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko (21) appeared at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo. She was there for the a talk event held during the “Switch Movie Fes.” film festival.
Maeda, who is a big fan of films revealed that watched 120 films since December and has often tweeted about them on Twitter. She stated, “Some people recommended me many different movies, and I am in the process of watching them. I buy DVDs in Shibuya and in the Daikanyama area.”
She also revealed how she goes alone to watch movies to the cinema complex, as well as to some classic film theaters.

Maeda Atsuko has been chosen as the narrator for the upcoming Pokemon short film, ‘Pikachu to Eevee☆Friends‘, which will open in theaters with ‘Gekijouban Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes - Shinsoku no Genosect: Mewtwo Kakusei‘ on July 13th.
Maeda commented, “I was surprised! I’ve been watching Pokemon movies since I was little, so I can’t believe that my voice will be entering the Pokemon world! I am very happy!” She also expressed, “I will do my best so that children who watch the movie will say, ‘Pokemon is cute,’ and also so they will think that the world of Pokemon looks fun.”
In ‘Shinsoku no Genosect: Mewtwo Kakusei’, Takashima Reiko will be in charge of the voice of Mewtwo. Yamadera Koichi, who has been the guest voice actor since the first Pokemon movie, will make his 16th consecutive appearance as the voice of the red Genosect. Nakagawa Shoko will also make her 7th consecutive appearance as the voice of Ninfia, and Heisei Nobushi Kobushi will also voice in the film.

On April 17th, former AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko attended the opening ceremony to commemorate the 60th anniversary of fashion brand, ‘Chloé‘, at Isetan Shinjuku Store.
Maeda attempted to cut the tape, but failed as she was unable to use the scissors. While the tape was being cut, she showed a troubled expression and asked for help from the people around her.
On this day, Maeda wore a Chloé dress worth about 700,000 yen (about $ 7,121.06 USD). She held a talk show with the brand’s creative director Clare Waight Keller. As this was her first time meeting Claire, Maeda expressed, “I want to become a cute and cool woman like her!” She also gave advice on popular spots in Japan, saying, “I like fashion, so I often go to Omotesando. I recommend Omotesando.”
‘Chloé’ is a fashion brand that was founded in Paris back in 1952. To commemorate the brand’s 60th anniversary, Isetan Shinjuku Store will be holding an event called ‘60year’s of Chloe‘ featuring things like an exhibition archive.

On April 10, AKB48’s Shinoda Mariko tweeted 3-shot photos that she took together with Maeda Atsuko and Oshima Yuko. As it has been a long time since the “Top 3” were together, fans responded with much enthusiasm.
Shinoda tweeted that she bumped into the two at a photoshoot with, “While shooting for a commercial, I found out that Atsuko was also shooting a commercial at the same studio and Yuko was on another level shooting a commercial!!!,” and was excited as she tweeted, “This was a coincidence, but it feels like a three-shot from the past of the election 1.2.3, doesn’t it? (laugh).” Maeda tweeted, “Everyone was shooting in a different studio,” and uploaded a 3-shot of them together.
Shinoda, Maeda, and Oshima ranked in the top 3 in the 2009 and 2010 “Senbatsu General Election.” As Maeda graduated from AKB48 last August, 3-shots of the trio have been rare and fans responded with, “My favorite 3-shot [trio]! Joy!,” “This is the best 3-shot I have seen in a long time,” and “Acchan!”
